About the Chef

Born in Monrovia, Liberia, West Africa, Chef Carmenia Morgan-Tyrus migrated to the United States in the early 1980’s. With her, she brought a lifelong passion for cooking as well as experience creating local West African cuisines.

Today, Chef Carmenia is boldly architecting what began as just a dream between her and her sister, Musulyn. Though they once vowed to open a restaurant where folks from all over could come to experience delicious recipes created with robust flavors from skilled and passion-filled hands, Chef Carmenia is now left to carry on the vision due to the passing of Musulyn.

With a degree in Culinary Arts from Gwinnett Technical College, as well as hands-on kitchen experience from Georgia Terrace Hotel and years of personal catering Chef Carmenia is bringing excellent food menus and service directly into your homes, offices, and special events.

As the proud owner and Executive Chef of Musulyn's International Restaurant and Musulyn's Catering & Event Planning, LLC. Chef Carmenia marries her love for international ethnic flavors with traditional western tastes to create celebrated menus and fine dining experiences, with specialties including African, Caribbean, and Southern fusions Chef Carmenia’s life and work are examples of her core belief: anything is attainable with diligence and faith.

This includes customer satisfaction - Chef Carmenia’s #1 priority!
